The Trinity:
On the basis of the Scriptures, in agreement with the historic Christian orthodox faith, and by confirmation through proven ministry, we believe in The Trinity. There is only one God, all-powerful, merciful, loving and holy, Creator of all, who is three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
(Deut. 6:4; Jer. 32:17-18; Matt. 3:16-17; 2 Cor. 13:14; Gal. 4:4-6)
The Incarnation:
Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of God, born of a virgin: fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, and was crucified and died on a cross. He was buried, yet rose again on the third day; appearing to His disciples and ascending into Heaven.
(John 3:16; Luke 1:35; 23:22; 24:4-9; John 21:14; 1 Tim. 3:16; 2 Cor. 5:21; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Cor. 15 3-8)
Inspiration:
The Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is God's inerrant, holy written Word and is the highest written authority for all matters of Christian faith, growth and conduct.
(2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21)
Salvation:
Mankind is separated from God by sin. The only hope for mankind is the Biblical way of salvation: by grace through faith, including personal repentance from sin and believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
(Acts 4:12; Rom. 3:23, 5:12; 6:23; 10:8-9; 1 Pet. 2:4-6)
Christian Unity:
One who is born again as a child of God is placed in kinship with all other Christians. We acknowledge our need for others in the Body of Christ and affirm our unity with them, regardless of denominational distinctions.
(John 17:19-23; 1 Cor. 1:10; Eph. 4:3-6, 13)
Indwelling:
Every Christian is indwelt by the Holy Spirit at conversion and is commanded to be filled continually with the Spirit for the purpose of integrity, ministry within the church and as a bold witness to unbelievers.
(Eph. 5:18; 1 Cor. 6:19; Acts 1:8; 2:38; 4:29-31; 10:44-48; Rom. 8:6-16; Gal. 5:22-23)
Spiritual Gifts:
The gifts and manifestation of the Holy Spirit are available to all believers today. The purposes of the gifts are for ministry, personal edification, and edification of the Body of Christ.
(Rom 12:4-8; 1 Cor 12:4-11; 14:1-19, 26-33; 1 Pet. 4:10-11; Acts 4:29-30)
Ordinances:
Jesus Christ commanded His followers to be baptized and to partake of communion. The scriptural model of Christian baptism is by Immersion. The Lord's Supper is practiced as a memorial of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.
(Matt. 3:13-17; Mark 1:9-11; 14:22-25; Acts 2:37-38; 8:35-39; 1 Cor 11:23-30)
Leadership:
Christ has given leaders to bring to completion the saints for their work of service that the whole body of Christ might be built up; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. Also, leaders are given to watch over the souls as those who will give an account.
(Eph. 4:11-16; Heb 13:17)
Stewardship:
God's method of finance for the church is the freewill tithes and offerings of His people.
(Gen 14:20; Prov 3:9-10; 19:17; 28:27; Mal 3:3-12; Matt 6:21; Phil 4:10-19; Luke 6:38; 16:11-12; 1 Cor 9:6-12; 16:1-3)
God's Enemy:
Satan is the "prince of the power of the air," the ruler of all darkness and evil in this world, the enemy of God and His church. Satan seeks to deceive, tempt, afflict, condemn, and destroy Christians.
(Matt 13:19; John 10:10; 2 Cor 2:11; 4:3-4; Eph 2:2; 6:11-12; 2 Tim 2:25-26; 1 Pet 5:8-9)
Man's Enemy:
Satan, the “world” and the “flesh” are forces that oppose mankind. Only in receiving God's grace, obedience to the word of God and the Holy Spirit's empowerment are humans capable of victory over these enemies.
(1 John 2:15-16; Col 2:8-20; Jas 4:4; Rom 7:5, 18, 25; 8:3-13; 13:14; Gal 5:16-26)
Eternal Judgment:
Hell is the place of torment for the wicked. Satan, his angels, and whoever is not found written in the book of life, along with Hell and Death, will be cast into the Lake of Fire for eternal punishment at the end of the age.
(Rev. 20:10, 14-15; Matt 25; 41-46; Luke 16:23-24)
The Blessed Hope:
The return of Jesus Christ is imminent. When He appears, the dead in Christ shall rise first, and the living believers will be caught up together with them in the air to be with the Lord forever.
(Matt 16:27; John 14:2-3; Phil 3:20-21; 1 Thess 4:14-18)
